Jefferson
County is linked by a modern network of highway and railway
systems and is the only county to have a full service airport
located along an interstate highway.
U.S.
Interstate 80, also known as the Keystone Shortway, crosses the
middle of Jefferson County for 36 miles from west to east with
four intersections with major state and federal highways. I-80
provides residents and businesses easy access to many of the
country’s major metropolitan areas and second tier cities.
Exits include 73 at Corsica, 78 at Brookville/Sigel, 81 at Hazen
and 86 at Reynoldsville. Principal interstate highways passing
through the county include U.S. Route 119, 219 and 322, plus
State Routes 28, 36, 536, 830, 949 and 950.
