Punxsutawney is required by state law to
recycle. Also, the Borough of Brockway and the
Borough of Sykesville have local ordinances that require
residents to recycle curbside.

Brockway
Borough residents are required to recycle: clear,
brown, and green glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles
and jugs, aluminum cans, tin cans, cardboard
newspapers, and leaf waste. Contact the Borough
Office for more information.
Sykesville
Borough residents are required to recycle: clear, brown and green
glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and jugs, aluminum cans, tin cans, cardboard and
newspapers be recycled curbside.
Also, the
following municipalities have voluntary curbside
recycling: Brookville, Corsica, Summerville,
Roseville and Sigel areas. Materials
collected curbside are: clear, brown, and green glass
bottles and jars, aluminum cans; tin
cans; and #1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs.
