The airport has been in existence since 1960 and currently runs a capacity of 47,000 passengers annually in its commuter service to the Pittsburgh International Airport. This air commerce park would tie in nicely with the Powder Metal businesses who have the need to ship by air on occasion and who utilize the airport for business on a daily basis. Future plans include a direct access exit from the Interstate to the airport.
